ABOUT THE POSITION

As a grinder / sawmill operator with a focus on grinding, you play a central role in production. Your contributions directly affect both the flow in the sawmill and the quality of the final product. You work closely with colleagues in production and are an integral part of the whole. Your work requires a high level of precision, a sense of responsibility, and an eye for detail.

COMMON TASKS INCLUDE;

Grinding and maintaining steel and blades for sawmill production
Checking quality and sharpness to ensure the correct dimensions and a good saw cut
Working with ongoing maintenance of grinding equipment and saw line
Contributing to order, structure, and safety

We continuously work on improving the work environment, for example, by eliminating risks and safety deficiencies. However, the job as a grinder / sawmill operator with a focus on grinding means that you will be in an industrial environment where noise, physical tasks, and varying working positions occur to different degrees. You need to have good physical ability, for example, be able to work standing for long periods and also be able to perform tasks both indoors and outdoors in different temperatures. Working with machines and moving parts places high demands on safety and risk awareness to prevent accidents and injuries. In addition, you need to enjoy monotonous tasks, be able to maintain focus over time, and have the ability to see what needs to be done.

ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS INCLUDE

Experience in grinding at a sawmill
Previous experience in the wood industry
Experience from other practical work in industry or workshop
Technical understanding and interest in machines
Education related to industry and/or wood technology
